Offering seven B.A. degree options and an exciting new minor program, the International Studies Program explores the interaction between international and national, global and local, contemporary and historical. It provides students with both a firm grounding in a discipline and the flexibility to permit exploration from alternative perspectives. To enrich and broaden the academic experience within the degree program, studying abroad is encouraged.
International Studies majors further benefit from the strong international network on campus. In addition to the renowned UCSD environment, International Studies majors can take advantage of the activities and programs of the Institute for International, Comparative, and Area Studies (IICAS), the home for International Studies at UCSD, and The Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS), the only UC graduate degree program in international affairs. |
